They're nautically newsworthy!

Boatin NZ Magazine prides themselve on breaking news – normally the domain of the mainstream media - to compliment Boating’s staple diet of boat reviews, new products, cruising features and columns.
Each issue is driven by the major events and big names in the marine industry at the time.

They're a little bit of something to a lot of people…

Boating NZ Magazine has been on the book shelves since January 1986 and is today the country’s best selling boating title with a monthly readership of 144,000.

Informative and entertaining articles for launch owners, yachties and fizz (trailer) boaties covering everything from the latest boat releases to the oldest classics in our monthly ‘Vintage Viewpoint’ column penned by Harold Kidd and Robin Elliott.

They're informative…

They endeavour to pass on seamanship and maintenance tips through features and monthly columns such as ‘Diesel Diary’ by Len Gilbert and ‘Toolbox’ which is penned by St-John Dick.

What are their best regular features?

  • Boat reviews, both new and used, are a popular staple of the magazine.
  • ‘On Watch’ which highlights all the latest nautical newsmakers.
  • The country’s most knowledgeable and entertaining  collection of columnists in Diesel Diary (Len Gilbert), Toolbox (St-John Dick), Vintage Viewpoint (Harold Kidd and Robin Elliott), Out of the Ocean (fishing by John Eichelsheim) and Second Hand News (John Macfarlane’s guide to all the classic Kiwi-made boats).
